The architectural firm Jordi Masalles & Assoc, was founded on June 30, 1994, and has vast experience in architectural design, construction project management, interior design and landscaping. The firm has gained various national and international acknowledgements, which include:
1.- First prize ex-aequo at the First Caribbean Architecture Biennial, held in Santo Domingo. Project: Saint Michel’s Grand Café.
2.- Grand prize at the Sixth Santo Domingo Architecture Biennial. Project: VZ Industrial Controls.
3.- Honourable Mention in Category “Interiors” at the Sixth Santo Domingo Architecture Biennial. Project: Viva FM Radio Station Interiors.
4.- First prize ex-aequo at the Fourth Caribbean Architecture Biennial, held in Camagüey, Cuba. Project: VZ Industrial Controls.
5.- First Prize in Category “Architectural Design” at the Ninth International Biennial of Santo Domingo. Project: Oncology Hospital.
Architect Jordi Masalles, principal of the firm, has been also a university professor at Pedro Henríquez Ureña University (UNPHU), Pontifical Catholic “Madre y Maestra” University (PUCMM) and actually at Iberoamerican University (UNIBE). He is also a member of the Dominican College of Engineers, Architects and Surveyors (CODIA), the Santo Domingo Architects Society (SARD), and a founding member of the Erwin Walter Palmer Foundation (FEWP).
